Frequently Asked Questions

Technical/Website related Questions

Q. After I make a purchase and try to access the My CEs Account to take the tests I get an error page.

A. Close your browser, and open a new one, go to dynamicnursingeducation.com and login to your My CEs account with the username and password that you choose. Due to high security measures today by ones computer and/or internet service provider, this will sometimes cause your browser to not allow you access to certain web pages. Often times this is easily resolved on our website by closing all of your browsers and opening a new one.

Or

A. For AOL users and those with high security measures (such as those at military bases, hospitals, libraries, Software Firewalls, etc); make sure to set your browser to allow "Cookies" and if you have internet security software (such as Firewalls) make sure to tell it that our website can be trusted. If you do not know how to do this, follow the direction above for the work around as this will solve the problem most of the time.

Q. I do not see the Tiered Discount when I am Checking Out.

A. If you are viewing this page, click on "Check Out" again and you should see the discount. If you still do not see a discount, change the security settings on your browser or software firewall to a level that will allow the website to operate properly.

Q. I tried  make a purchase and the transaction failed and I don't see the Tiered Discount now.

A. If you are viewing this page, click on "Check Out" again and you should see the discount. If you still do not see a discount, change the security settings on your browser or software firewall to a level that will allow the website to operate properly.

Q. I tried  make a purchase and the transaction failed.

A. Make sure that that you when you are on the credit card billing screen that; the Name of the credit card is correct, the address is where your credit card bill gets sent to, the proper state is selected, the credit card number is correct, the credit card number is entered consecutively without spaces or dashes, the correct expiration date is selected and that you have entered the proper CVV (which is the last 3 digits on the back of your card where you sign your card. For American Express it is the same 4 digit number above the last 4 digits of the credit card number).

Or

You have made other online purchases today, you don't normally make online purchase, or you have tried several times to Check Out (Taking into consideration that you now for sure that you have a sufficient balance); your credit card company may have stopped the transaction because for any or all of these reasons may have triggered a Red Flag as a possibility that you are not trying to make a purchase. Try calling your credit card company to see if they stopped a charge from Dynamic Nursing Education.

Q. I see in the Transaction History that there are several transaction. Have I been charged several times?
A. Not necessarily. If you have bought different courses at different times, you will see each transaction in your account. For those that know that they have only tried to buy courses once and they see multiple transactions in their account; the Transaction History lists both successful and failed transactions. So if you tried to buy the course(s) and there were failed transaction(s), the Transaction History is showing you each one of the transactions. You are not able to see which ones are failed or successful.
A. Three ways to verify that you have not been charged multiple times:
  1. Call your credit card company to see how many charges are from Dynamic Nursing Education. Your credit card company will know immediately of charges to your credit card.
  2. Go to the CE History section of your My CEs Account and see how many times each course is listed. If the course(s) are listed just once, then you have only been charged once.
  3. Go to your email account and see how many email receipts you have. You are sent two emails for every purchase, both of which have the same Order Number. If for example you have four email receipts for us, and you have two different Order Numbers, they you have been billed twice.

Online Nursing Continuing Education course Questions

Q. Are your courses accepted by my state board of nursing?

A. Yes. We are an approved provider of continuing education by 3 state boards of nursing and all of our courses are accredited. To view are Provider Numbers, click on the "Accreditations" button at the top of the page. We highly recommend that nurses verify that continuing education companies are accredited before making a purchase as not all companies on the internet are accredited. First obtain that provider's "Provider Number", then contact the board that they claim to be approved by to find out if they are approved by them and if they are in good standing.

Q. Will these courses be mailed to me?

A. No. Our online nursing continuing education courses are done entirely online from reading the course material, taking the test and printing your CE certificate.

Q. I purchased some of your nursing ceu courses, what do I do now?

A. Click on “My CEs” in the top right corner of the website, enter your username and password that you choose and click “login”, click on “CE History” on the left hand margin in orange writing, click on “Take” under “Status”, read the course, click on “Take Test Now” (located on the bottom right corner of each course) when you are ready to take the test.

Q. When I am taking a test can I use the back button on my browser to look at the course?

A. Yes. However if you need to look at the course to answer the next question on the test, make sure that you write your answers down on a note pad. Using the back button on the browser will reset all of your answers to “A”.

Q. Are your nursing contact hours accepted by my state board of nursing?

A. Yes our nursing continuing education courses are accepted by all state BRNs that require CEs for license renewal. We have provided an Accreditation section on our website with links to your state’s website for your convenience.

Nursing Terminology Questions

Q. What is a CEU?

A. CEU stands for continuing education unit which can only be issued by a college or university to obtain a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree. You can use these CEUs to fulfill the continuing education requirement for your RN license renewal. One CEU is worth 10-15 contact hours depending on your state board of nursing standards.

Q. What is a nursing contact hour?

A. A nursing contact hour is the most correct measurement of time spent studying or attending a lecture. All nursing continuing education providers can only issue nursing contact hours even though they may refer to their education hours as CEUs. Colleges and Universities can issue CEUs.

Q. What are Nursing CEs or CE?

A. CE literally stands for Continuing Education. All state boards of nursing and accrediting bodies accept the terminology “Nursing CEs” to represent nursing contact hours.
