Course Description

This two day conference is geared towards Nurse Managers, Supervisors and Clinical Nurse Leaders. On day one; leadership styles, emerging staff nurse leaders, motivating staff, effective communication, conflict resolution and the latest nursing leadership research will be the focus. On day two the nursing shortage, recruitment and retention as well as team building and promoting strong morale will be presented. In addition, quality care with the use of performance improvement as well as nursing imperatives for the future of nursing will also be explored. Because this conference provides fun activities, games and break out sessions, it is sure to rejuvenate as well as to inspire those who attend.

About the Speaker

Kristi Hudson has been a critical care nurse since 1990. She has her Certification in Critical Care and has also received her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. She has worked both in clinical and supervisory positions in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at UCI Medical Center which is a level 1 trauma center; and is currently the Nurse Manager of the Neuroscience Department which is comprised of a Neuro Intensive Care Unit and a Neuro Step Down Unit. Whether in a clinical or administrative capacity; Kristi strongly promotes professional nursing as well as the development of nursing leadership. She is excited to share her leadership knowledge and experience.
